Default Worthless Apology

Usually when someone apologizes to me I can forgive them. However, there have been a few times in my life that people have apologized and it honestly is not good enough. What do you say to someone after they apologize and it really isn't okay?

Eh Long story. Basically someone just wasted an entire day of my life and dared try to justify it by saying I had nothing better to do. They later apologized for dragging me to a "quick" meeting which lasted over 8 hours... but time lost can never be gotten back.

I know it isn't what you want and you are not happy about the situation, but idk if an apology can be denied unless you are questioning their sincerity about their regret rather than your happiness with the situation. If you are simply unhappy with the situation you could accept the apology and state your unhappiness if you haven't already.
idk, if I'm making matters worse I'm sorry lol.

Well Omega I know I'm late with this but I'm sure that you have learned something from that 8 hour meeting. Maybe you have already realized or maybe you haven't yet. But as far as I know there is always something you can learn from anything no matter how horrible it was. I believe that you have gained something from it. After all the anger has gone away I would accept the apology. After all holding a grudge is unhealthy. I personally always try to reconcile any problematic situation. If I can not then I will stray away from its presence.

It really depends on what you wanna do. Usually if someone can apologize and have it be deemed insufficient, they messed up, probably very badly. A lot of times at point you really don't want a lot to do with em. but always tell them if it isn't good enough, if they're a person who means enough to you for you to grant them forgiveness or want to continue your relationship or friendship with
